B-Track Technologies ICT Cricket Tournament: Champions- Exhibitus Garjan
Exhibitus Garjan, the team led by Swarthak has won the B-Track Technologies ICT Cricket Tournament champions. The team won by 6 wickets against the opponents Global Avengers’ after thrashing CS Fighters by 42 runs in the semis.
On Thursday afternoon, Mahmudul Hasan's unbeaten 106 runs reached the target in 14 overs at the Shyamoli Club ground.
Shaheen of Global Avengers was the Man of the Tournament of B-Track ICT Cricket Tournament 2023. The guests presented crests and mementos to the winners and losers.
Earlier, after winning the toss after the semi, the Global Avengers entered the field with the bat after twenty minutes of rest. But at the beginning of the ball in hand, the batsmen were put under pressure by the followers of interest. Alamgir was hit in the first over as per the team leader's plan to tie the opposition between 120-30. 2 batsmen were out within 10 runs. 4 returned home within 50 runs. In this way, Global Avengers scored 176 runs for 7 wickets by losing wickets regularly. Shaheen scored 69 runs off 34 balls for the team. On the contrary, Alamgir took 3 wickets with 22 runs. Ismail and Rana got 2 wickets each. Ashraful struck the roaring camp first when opening batsman Rakibul-Shaon scored 13 runs with the bat to win. Mahmudul-Rakibul pair crossed the century after handling this attack.
Engineer Subrata Sarkar, president of Bangladesh Computer Association, was present as the chief guest at the award distribution ceremony. He said that cricket is one of the favorite sports of Bangladesh. We are motivated by the interest of people associated with the IT sector in this tournament. In future we will take initiative to increase the scope of this tournament. It is my expectation that smart Bangladeshi players will also be smart players. Apart from cricket, we also have plans to organize a football tournament in monsoon this year.
ICT Cricket Tournament Organizing Committee convener and BCS vice-president Md. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan said, we are happy to organize the tournament successfully. Later this event will be made more grand. We are overwhelmed by the overwhelming response from BCS members. This time we enjoyed the cricketing skills of the BCS members as there was a mandatory participation rule of one player from the members.
